- Updated August 2025

"Safety First, Debauchery Second!"

Maison Burlesque is a Health & Safety conscious business.  We proudly adhere to the guidelines set out by the governing bodies of Victoria regarding Health, OH&S and WorkSafe, and ask all visitors to respect the guide we have laid out below. As our facilities are a welcome space for all, including those who are immunocompromised and those with vulnerable family members, we strongly recommend patrons are up to date with their vaccinations (such as Sars-Covid & Flu).

You can be assured that on your visit all our staff will make every effort to ensure that your health and safety is our priority, including state of the art air purifiers in every room and a strict cleaning schedule.

Please refer to our guide below for what to do if you’re feeling unwell (COVID or otherwise).

We hope you enjoy your time at Maison Burlesque.

Read below for more information on what to do if you’re feeling unwell or are concerned, or feel free to email us at info@maisonburlesque.com.au or call 03 8582 6693.

Unless otherwise specified here, usual T&C's (outlined below) will apply.

IF YOU'RE FEELING WELL

  • Maison Burlesque is a strict health and safety conscious business; Many of our staff and students are immunocompromised, therefore we strongly recommend patrons are up to date with their vaccinations, for example Flu & COVID19. Every time you book in, our T&Cs will appear with a checkbox that you must tick to confirm you have read and accept. You will also need to acknowledge that you have read, and are familiar with, our Health & Safety policy.

  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided upon entering and exiting the studio, and before using studio props (eg fans, gloves, boas, chairs, etc)

  • Please be aware of personal space of your fellow students

IF YOU'RE FEELING UNWELL OR SICK AND THERE IS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST CHANCE IT COULD BE CONTAGIOUS…

  • Stay home! Do not attend your class if you are unwell and please notify your teacher or administrative staff.

  • If you test positive for Sars-Covid/Flu A or B/RSV, please let us know so that we can notify any people necessary.

IF YOU'RE SHOWING SYMPTOMS BUT ARE NO LONGER CONTAGIOUS…

(eg you have some residual symptoms from a non-covid illness and have produced a negative Sars-Covid/Flu A&B/RSV test, either PCR or RAT)

  • Please have a chat to your teacher/peers prior to attending (eg “I have a residual cough from 2 weeks ago, I have tested negative on all tests for multiple days in a row- Does everyone feel comfortable if I attend, masked up and distance learning?”)

  • Please wear a mask when in the studio out of respect for your teacher & peers

  • Please be extra vigilant about hand sanitising and distancing at all times while in the building.

If the studio is closed due to government direction or a local outbreak:

  • In the case of a studio shutdown leading to class cancellations, students will receive a class credit equal to the number of classes cancelled. This credit can be used towards a future class.

If you ever have any questions please just chat to your teacher or contact the studio admin staff for the attention of Poppy at info@maisonburlesque.com.au
