At Maison Burlesque, we believe it is important to get experienced teachers to assist and mentor you through the solo performance process. Now, as you begin this journey, Maison Burlesque is here to guide you through you first solo development process!

We’ve recently launched a massive Solo Performance Program for those looking for guidance and care through the solo act development process!

Separated into two groups for Friday or Sunday openings, this programme will guide you through:

1. Stages of Act Development, Storyboarding, Character, Music & Costume

2. Exploration & Experimentation. Taking the act to the next level.

3. Performance Workshop & Peer Review

4. Additional Performance Workshop (EXTRA session added in 2026!)

5. Live Performance at Solo Showcase at Howler

Are you looking to begin your journey in solo burlesque performance? Or perhaps already performing but looking to hone your craft?

Join not one but TWO seasoned burlesque industry professionals Poppy Cherry & Whisky Falls and learn the necessary steps needed to develop your own performance work - from inspiration, to music, choreography, costume, concepting, developing, refining and more!

This is a perfect launchpad for students wishing to perform as part of Maison Burlesque's solo development program.

In this workshop you will learn:

Bring a notepad and pen or device for notetaking.

At Maison Burlesque all our esteemed instructors are available for one-on-one burlesque or dance lessons, private tuition and act development.

Rather than run a rigid solo development course, at Maison Burlesque we encourage budding soloists to seek mentorship from one (or more) teachers, and work at a pace that best suits each individual.

Each of our instructors has a unique skill set, and they can offer you advice, instruction, and tips on developing and furthering your solo routines for burlesque.
