❤️‍🔥  Lyrical Chair (Open Level) ❤️‍🔥

2:00pm - 3:30pm

Drawing from contemporary and lyrical dance styles, this workshop offers a blend of choreography that allows plenty of space for creativity and to make it your own.

We will be playing with soft flowing movements, strength and support foundations and musicality as we move through a warm up, learning technique & trick basics and choreography.

Whether you're an experienced pro, or new to it completely - this workshop will encourage self expression as you explore new ways of moving and engaging with the chair in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Heels and kneepads optional.

❤️‍🔥  Metal Chair (Open Level) ❤️‍🔥

4:00pm - 5:30pm

Building upon the foundations established in Lyrical Chair, this workshop introduces more challenging choreography, incorporating elements of floorwork, tricks and balances, all set to a heavy metal backdrop.

We will have more of a focus on technique as we transition between movements, while maintaining control and precision. The skills in this class will be designed to help expand your repertoire of movements and push you to move in ways you haven’t before.

As always, movements can be adapted slightly to ability level but please be aware that this class will involve floorwork and weight bearing on the chair.

Heels optional, kneepads required.

About your instructor:

Somewhere between a glamorous showgirl and a scene kid, Cora Noire grew up feeling very at home on the stage doing musicals, dance competitions and music videos.

Never quite finding exactly the right place in that world to be truly herself, Cora turned to more alternative performance styles eventually moving to Melbourne and tumbling into the world of burlesque.

As a die-hard fan of pop-punk and metal, Cora has found a way to combine this with her high energy and at times camp burlesque performance style.

Cora has also been teaching dance for nearly 10 years, with over 20 years of dance training under her belt including a Cert 4 in Commercial Dance and Musical Theatre.

As a teacher, Cora is really passionate about making every single person feel comfortable, seen, empowered and encouraged to be unapologetically themselves.
